Joseph Chalom serves as Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors at SharpLink Gaming, Inc. (Nasdaq: SBET), a Nasdaq-listed company with one of the largest corporate holdings of Ethereum (ETH). With over 20 years of experience at the intersection of traditional finance, fintech, and digital assets, Mr. Chalom previously held senior leadership roles at BlackRock, the world's largest asset manager.
A graduate of Johns Hopkins University (BA, International Affairs) and Columbia Law School (JD), Joseph Chalom began his career as a corporate and regulatory attorney at leading firms including Arnold & Porter and Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP.
He later joined BlackRock, where he advanced to Managing Director and Head of Strategic Ecosystem Partnerships. In this role, he led the firm's global digital assets strategy, including the launches of the iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT), the largest Bitcoin ETF globally, and the iShares Ethereum Trust (ETHA), the leading spot Ethereum ETF in the U.S. He also oversaw the introduction of BUIDL, the first tokenized U.S. Treasury fund on Ethereum, and managed key partnerships with Coinbase, Securitize, and others. Earlier at BlackRock, as Deputy Chief Operating Officer and Chief Operating Officer of BlackRock Solutions, he drove the global expansion of the Aladdin platform, supporting trillions in assets under management.
Mr. Chalom served on the boards of Securitize and Clarity AI. In July 2025, he joined SharpLink Gaming as Co-Chief Executive Officer. Effective December 15, 2025, he was appointed sole Chief Executive Officer and elected to the Board of Directors. At SharpLink, he leads the company's Ethereum treasury strategy, focusing on institutional-grade management and long-term shareholder value creation.
